The Moment Your World Stopped Spinning

In one moment your breath was taken away, your whole world stopped spinning.

I’m sure you can think of a moment like this, if not a few. Where you were living your life and in an instant it was completely different.

But the funny thing is when this happens, although your life stopped, everyone else’s stays spinning.

Everyone else kept on living, working, building families, relationships making memories. Some pause for a moment, to help you catch your breath. Hold you through those hardest moments, check in extra. But they have their own world that won’t stop for them and they have their on responsibilities that won’t stop either.

When you get the chance to reenter you may be coming with new things you did not expect or people or things you had to leave. There are constant reminders of where you were stuck as you see all the moments that went on without you.

I’ve thought about this a lot the last few years and especially the past few months. Because it’s not just my life where I see this happen but the lives of so many of those dear to me. I see their life pause. And I wish I could stay there with them, I could hold onto them in that moment and love them extra walk through each moment with them until they were able to or felt ready to renter into their normal world. But just like their life could not be frozen in time for me, mine continues when my heart stays with them and I wish the rest of me could remain with them.

And other times those affected themselves are forced to return to their normal when they still feel like they are looking down out their life like it’s someone else’s still.

With new innovations and technology our lives were supposed to be easier but it seems like everything just has moved faster, expectations higher, prices inflated; leaving very little time to care for one another through the hardest moments.
